Episode 16: Leadership = Kingdom WorkSeason 1 Finale What if leadership were never about titles, platforms, influence, or corner offices? What if leadership were always about Kingdom work? As we close out Season 1 of Flip the Tables: Disrupting Leadership with Love & Truth, we will return to the foundation of everything we have discussed this season: leadership is not merely a professional responsibility but a spiritual calling. Throughout sixteen episodes, we've challenged conventional leadership wisdom, flipped a few tables, stepped on a few toes, and hopefully encouraged leaders to think differently about influence, service, courage, integrity, and love. From difficult conversations and discernment to servant leadership and organizational culture, one truth has remained constant: leadership matters because people matter. Are you building your own kingdom, or are you building His? Expect practical reflection, biblical encouragement, and a few moments of sarcasm (because let's be honest, leadership without a sense of humor is just a really long staff meeting). Season 1 Reflection: This season has explored leadership through the lenses of truth, love, wisdom, courage, character, discernment, organizational health, and servant leadership. More than leadership strategies, these conversations have been invitations to lead differently—to lead like Jesus. Thank you to every guest who shared their wisdom, every listener who joined the conversation, and every leader who continues choosing service over status and purpose over popularity. Looking Ahead to Season 2 Don't worry, we're not leaving the table. We'll be taking a short summer break and returning this September with Season 2. Expect: * New guests * New conversations * New leadership challenges * More practical wisdom * More biblical truth * More table flipping * And, of course, the same blend of sarcasm, Scripture, and love you've come to expect We'll tackle emerging leadership issues, organizational culture, resilience, faith in the workplace, decision-making, conflict, innovation, and the real-world challenges leaders face every day. Because leadership is changing. The world is changing. But truth doesn't. Until September, keep leading with courage, serving with humility, loving people well, and remembering that leadership isn't about being in charge. It's about being responsible for what God has placed in your hands. Leadership isn't just work. Leadership is Kingdom work. See you in Season 2.

Narcissistic Leadership

Episode 15 - Featuring Ms. Blaina Tallent Best Leadership is not about being the center of attention—it is about helping others reach their God-given potential. In this episode of Flip the Tables: Disrupting Leadership with Love & Truth, Bethany Brady sits down with Ms. Blaina Tallent Best to confront one of the most destructive forces in organizations, churches, and teams: narcissistic leadership. Narcissistic leaders often appear confident, charismatic, visionary, and successful. They know how to command attention, influence conversations, and position themselves as indispensable. Yet beneath the surface, their leadership is frequently driven by self-interest, validation, control, and personal gain rather than service, stewardship, and the well-being of others. The damage can be profound. Narcissistic leadership creates environments where fear replaces trust, competition replaces collaboration, and loyalty to the leader becomes more important than commitment to the mission. Team members often experience manipulation, favoritism, emotional exhaustion, diminished confidence, and a culture where honest feedback is unwelcome. Through the lens of the Love Leadership Framework, this conversation explores how leaders can recognize narcissistic tendencies, establish healthy boundaries, cultivate accountability, and build cultures where humility, service, and character take precedence over ego and personal ambition. The reality is that narcissism is not merely a leadership problem—it is a heart problem. Kingdom leadership was never intended to elevate the leader above the people. It was designed to elevate the people through the leader's service. Healthy leadership is marked by humility, accountability, emotional maturity, and a willingness to place the mission above personal recognition. Love-centered leaders understand that influence is not something to be protected—it is something to be stewarded. In a culture increasingly focused on personal branding, platform building, and self-promotion, leaders must ask themselves a difficult question: Am I building a legacy that points people to myself, or one that points people to something greater than me? Because the strongest leaders are not those who demand admiration. They are the ones who earn trust. Toxic Leadership to Love Leadership - Culture Shift

Episode 14 - Featuring Ms. Christianne Grist Leadership does not merely shape results—it shapes culture. Toxic leadership is rarely confined to one individual. Over time, unhealthy leadership behaviors create unhealthy organizational cultures marked by fear, distrust, disengagement, poor communication, and diminished morale. While toxic environments may produce short-term outcomes, they often come at the expense of people, purpose, and long-term sustainability. Through the lens of the Love Leadership Framework, this conversation explores how leaders can recognize toxic patterns, confront destructive behaviors, and intentionally cultivate cultures grounded in trust, accountability, service, and human flourishing. True leadership transformation begins when leaders choose influence over intimidation, humility over ego, and stewardship over control. Scripture reminds us that leadership is ultimately about how we treat people: "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves." — Philippians 2:3 Love-centered leadership does not ignore accountability, performance, or excellence. Rather, it recognizes that healthy cultures are built when leaders value people while pursuing purpose. The strongest organizations are not those led by fear but by trust, respect, and genuine care for others. Culture is always being created—either intentionally or unintentionally. The question every leader must answer is: What kind of culture am I creating? Discernment & Wisdom in Leadership

Featuring Mr. Jamey Hunt Leadership is not simply about making decisions, it is about making the right decisions for the right reasons at the right time. In this episode of Flip the Tables: Disrupting Leadership with Love & Truth, Bethany Brady sits down with Mr. Jamey Hunt to unpack one of the most overlooked yet essential leadership competencies: discernment and wisdom. While knowledge can provide information and experience can provide perspective, wisdom helps leaders navigate complexity, uncertainty, and difficult choices with clarity and integrity. Discernment allows leaders to recognize what is true, what is healthy, and what aligns with their mission before taking action. Through the lens of the Love Leadership Framework, this conversation explores why leadership requires more than intelligence, talent, or authority. Healthy leaders develop the ability to pause, evaluate, seek counsel, and make decisions that serve people rather than simply producing outcomes. In a culture that often rewards speed and reaction, wise leadership values reflection, humility, and intentionality. Scripture consistently elevates wisdom as one of the greatest attributes a leader can pursue: "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault." — James 1:5 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." — Proverbs 9:10 "Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity." — Colossians 4:5 Wisdom-centered leadership does not seek power for its own sake. It seeks truth, stewardship, and the flourishing of people. Discernment enables leaders to see beyond appearances, evaluate motives, and make decisions that honor both organizational health and Kingdom principles. In a world filled with noise, competing voices, and constant pressure, discernment is no longer optional, it is essential. episode Boldness & Growth in Leadership artwork

Boldness & Growth in Leadership

Leadership is not about comfort, playing small, or avoiding resistance—it’s about courage, growth, obedience, and the willingness to lead boldly even when the path is difficult. In Episode 12 of Flip the Tables Podcast, we dive into BOLDNESS & GROWTH IN LEADERSHIP and why healthy leadership requires the courage to keep growing, stretching, and stepping into uncomfortable spaces. The truth is, growth never happens where fear stays in control. Great leaders are developed through pressure, challenges, accountability, and the willingness to continually evolve. Through the Love Leadership framework, we unpack how bold leadership is not loud arrogance or self-promotion—it is confidence rooted in humility, wisdom, discernment, and love. Jesus modeled bold leadership perfectly. He spoke truth courageously, challenged broken systems, developed people intentionally, and never allowed fear, criticism, or opposition to stop Him from fulfilling His purpose. Growth-centered leadership requires emotional intelligence, teachability, resilience, and the ability to embrace change without losing compassion for people. Leaders who stop growing eventually stop leading effectively. Healthy leaders understand that growth is not optional—it is necessary for influence, impact, and transformation. Joining the conversation is Mr. Noah Huckaby as we discuss what it means to lead boldly without becoming prideful, how leaders can continue growing through challenges and discomfort, and why courageous leadership rooted in love creates stronger teams, healthier cultures, and lasting influence.
