Here’s a little update on Jake’s past surgeries, his vagus nerve stimulator, and when he had a burst appendix. Also a little update on how he’s doing with the speech board! He’s getting there and he    it.   He  brought it to me this morning just to press mommy to get me off the patio  👏

Episode 31: update on the speech board

Here’s an update on the speech board for Jake. It takes a lot of repetition, but Jake is starting to understand a few of the characters on the board! He really likes The one  that has the heart on itwhich  says “I love you”, which is so sweet! He is also learning how to use” I want to go out.” we are also working on mommy and daddy which I recorded on the bottom of the board, as well as I want a snack, and I am thirsty.  So far, he is really enjoying the board, even though he still needs my help to find the right words! #AutismAwareness
