Descripción

In this episode, I’m sharing one of my favorite goal-setting tools from Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) called Well-Informed Outcomes. It’s an 8-step process to help you get clear on what you want, why it matters, and how to actually make it happen. Whether you're feeling stuck or ready for change, this one’s worth journaling through. The 8 Steps to a Well-Informed Outcome: 1. What do you want? (State it in the positive) 2. Is this goal truly yours—or someone else’s expectation? 3. How will you know when you have it? (Use your senses) 4. Where, when, and with whom do you want this outcome? 5. What might be getting in the way? 6. What resources do you have? What do you need? 7. Is the outcome ecological? (Good for you and others?) 8. What’s one step you can take today? 5 Tools to Quiet Negative Self-Talk (That Actually Work)

Recording live from surf camp in Bahia, Brazil, where the waves (and my inner critic) have been intense. After getting wiped out in the ocean and spiraling into thoughts like “I suck at this,” I realized it was the perfect moment to share 5 friendly tools I use when that inner voice gets loud. 1. Name the Voice – Give your inner critic a name to create distance (mine’s Jordano 😅). 2. Get Curious, Not Critical – Ask what’s really going on beneath the thoughts. 3. Interrupt the Loop – Use breath, movement, or touch to reset your nervous system. 4. Replace the Voice – Speak to yourself like someone you love. 5. Connect with Something Bigger – Nature, spirit, community, whatever reminds you you’re not alone. ✨ Website + free resources [https://www.jordanmajdalani.com] ✨ Voyage Inward Live Group Coaching Program (July 2025) [https://www.jordanmajdalani.com/voyageinward] ✨ Connect with me on Instagram @regulatewithjordan [https://www.instagram.com/regulatewithjordan?igsh=b3cxbnpzdzZpbjJm&utm_source=qr]

How to Stay Regulated When Life Gets Hard

In this episode, we wrap up our series on the window of tolerance and explore what it really means to stay regulated when things get hard. You’ll learn how to recognize signs of hyper- and hypoarousal, why your nervous system responds the way it does, and how to gently build more capacity through neuroplasticity. Plus, I’ll guide you through a simple body scan to help you reconnect with your body and breath. ✨ Ready to go deeper? episode Feeling Numb or on Autopilot? Understanding Hypoarousal & Shutdown artwork

Feeling Numb or on Autopilot? Understanding Hypoarousal & Shutdown

In this episode, we explore the hypoarousal state of the nervous system — what it feels like, why it happens, and how it’s a built-in survival response designed to protect us. We talk about the difference between shutdown and collapse, the role of the dorsal vagal branch, and why numbness, disconnection, or emotional fog are not signs of weakness — they’re signs your body has been trying to keep you safe.   I also share personal reflections, common symptoms, and gentle journaling prompts to help you recognize when this state shows up in your life — and start building awareness without judgment.   Journal Exercises  * When are the times you notice yourself going into shutdown or numbness?   * What emotions tend to come with that? * What do you feel — or not feel — in your body when that happens?   If you’re interested in learning practical tools to regulate your nervous system and reconnect with yourself, my 4-week group coaching program, Voyage Inward begins this June. episode When Your Emotions Take Over: Understanding What’s Happening Inside artwork

When Your Emotions Take Over: Understanding What’s Happening Inside

In this episode, we explore the Window of Tolerance — the zone where your nervous system feels safe and steady enough to handle life’s ups and downs. We focus on hyperarousal, that fight-or-flight state that can take over when stress hits hard (even if it’s just a tense email or tough conversation). You’ll learn how to recognize the signs — like racing thoughts or being reactive — and try out a simple breathing practice to help bring your system back into balance. ✨ Want more support?
