Refining Starts with the Redeemed- 1 Peter 4:12-19

Main Idea: God uses the fire of suffering to refine His people and prepare them for glory. Main Question: How should we understand and respond to God's refining fire? * Since our God is refiner, we shouldn't be surprised by the fire. * SInce God is preparing you for Glory, you can sacrifice momentary comfort for Eternal satisfaction. * Since God is both the Judge and the Refiner, we must learn to discern the fire. * Since our God is faithful, we can trust Him in the midst of the fire.

Living With the End in Mind

Main Idea: When you see the end clearly, you live in the present differently. Main Question: How does seeing the end clearly affect how we live now? > You stop living for sin and start living for God. > You stop drifting and start living with urgency. >You stop serving yourself and start serving others.

Suffering for the Right Reasons 1 Peter

1 Peter 3:13-22 Main Question: How should we respond when we suffer for righteousness sake? -We must shift our perspective heavenward. -We must fear dishonoring God more than we fear displeasing man. -We must hold fast to integrity, even when is cost us. Main Idea: We can persevere in suffering for righteousness sake because Christ has already secured the victory.
