Members Reviews: Beautiful and thought provoking I enjoy Shakespeare's exploration of love and it's effect on our perception of the world. Also equally enjoyable is the theme of the importance of the written word. Shakespeare expresses both the necessity and the insufficiency of capturing the depth of human emotion in the written word. At times he is comforted that his love will always be remembered in poetry, but at others he acknowledges that words cannot express her beauty. Some of Shakespeare's best poetry is in the plays. This was poorly done.Another copy I have of these sonnets has a much more upbeat rhythm and less despairing...translator missed the entendre ..."and we fairies who do run...now are frolic." Yet for the price.... Shakespeare's Sonnet As a young career women trying to expand her horizons. I wanted to experience Shakespeare writings because I never understood it in high school. The seller shipped the book out quickly and although there was a misunderstanding with the tracking information, the book arrived within the estimated time and so far my Shakespeare experience has been great, the book deciphers his sonnets in such a good way it takes me to another place with Shakespeare's poetry. Definitely worth the purchase!! simple REally simple. Ous just the sonnets. Typed out. The only thing I don't like is that there are no page numbers. However, the sonnets are numbered... so not 100% necessity. Beautiful I loved this. Read and listened to these poems. I'm glad they are on my Kindle so I can go back to them anytime, both the favorites I've highlighted, and also to those I didn't completely understand.
