Rooted deeply in God's Word (Jeremiah 17:7-8)

One of the greatest pictures of spiritual stability in Scripture is the image of a tree planted by rivers of water. Trees survive storms, droughts, wind, and heat because their life source runs deeper than surface conditions. Jeremiah 17:7-8  Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.  For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. The tree still experiences difficult conditions. Heat still comes. Drought still exists. Yet the tree continues flourishing because it has access to a deeper source. This is what God desires for us spiritually.

Word conditioned, not circumstance controlled (Romans 12:2) - Part 1

Every day we are being shaped by something. The world continually pressures us to think according to fear, frustration, comparison, anxiety, and emotional reaction. News cycles influence us. Culture influences us. Difficult situations attempt to define us. Even our own feelings can try to become the loudest voice in our lives. Yet God never designed for believers to live directed by unstable circumstances. He calls us to live from a renewed mind—a mind shaped by truth rather than by temporary conditions. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Forget the past, live in grace today (Philippians 3:13-14)

We often measure ourselves by what has already happened—what we wish we had done differently, or what we think should have gone better. Yet God continually calls us into the present moment, where His grace is active and His strength is available. Today is where God meets us, renews us, and invites us to move forward with Him. Philippians 3:13–14 (KJV)Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Strength in waiting on the Lord (Isaiah 40:31)

As we trust in our all powerful and all knowing God and wait on His timing we find strength in the truth that His will will be manifest at the right time. Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Dealing with disappointment (Romans 8:28)

Dealing with disappointment starts with recognizing that God is in sovereign and is always working to provide the very best for us. Let’s choose to walk forward in believing, knowing that even our deepest sorrows can become the soil for God’s greatest works in our lives. Romans 8:28 (KJV) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
