For more information on Aevidum, visit www.aevidum.com [http://www.aevidum.com/]. This podcast series will be student-created and student-run and will help to offer insight on mental health awareness and suicide prevention, as well as, what goes into creating community within a school setting. In this episode, Violet talks with Corey Dupree about the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program and the importance of mentorship. Currently, Corey serves as the Vice President of Community and Culture for Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-Central PA. In this role, he develops and implements initiatives to amplify youth voice, and leading strategic planning across all organizational operations, ensuring impactful outcomes. Corey attributes much of his passion for mentorship and education to his 27+ year relationship with his own Big Brother through Big Brothers Big Sisters, Todd, who continues to inspire him to give back. As a devoted father to two children, Mariah and Corey II, Corey is deeply committed to serving underserved communities. His personal experiences, coupled with his volunteer work with grassroots organizations, fuel his mission to create pathways for success and opportunity for the next generation.
