I’d love to hear from you. [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2515893/fan_mail/new] What if holiness is not something you are trying to achieve, but something Jesus already made true about you? What if New Covenant holiness is not God saying, “Become acceptable so I can receive you,” but God saying, “I have already received you in Jesus, now live from who you really are”? In this episode of Grace Uncensored, we expose one of the biggest pieces of Christian double-talk: saying believers are holy while teaching them to chase holiness like they do not have it. Holiness is a big deal in the Bible. But under the New Covenant, holiness is not a ladder you climb so God will accept you. It is the fruit of a new identity God has already given you in Christ. We’ll talk about why Old Testament prayers like Psalm 51 can confuse believers when read without a New Covenant lens, why Hebrews says believers have been made holy once for all, and why grace does not produce laziness. Grace trains us to live free. If you have ever felt like holiness meant pressure, performance, fear, or trying to stay acceptable to God, this episode is for you. In Christ, you were washed. You were sanctified. You were justified. You were made holy. And now grace teaches you to live from who you already are. Watch the latest episode, catch up on past episodes, get the free Grace Uncensored devotional, download The Salvation Reality List, and support the message at GraceUncensored.org. Bible References from This Episode Psalm 51:10–12 David prayed, “Create in me a clean heart” and asked God not to take His Spirit from him. This is a powerful Old Covenant prayer, but under the New Covenant, believers are already washed, made new, and sealed by the Holy Spirit. We read Psalm 51 through the finished work of Jesus. 1 Corinthians 6:11 Paul says believers “were washed,” “were sanctified,” and “were justified.” These are past-tense realities, not goals we are trying to earn. Holiness begins with what God has already done in Christ. Hebrews 10:10 This verse says we have been made holy through the sacrifice of Jesus “once for all.” Holiness is not something believers achieve by trying harder. Jesus set us apart through His finished work. Hebrews 10:14 By one sacrifice, Jesus has made believers perfect forever while the Spirit continues to grow us in daily life. This shows both identity and growth. We are already secure in Christ, and now we learn to live from that truth. Romans 6:14 Sin is no longer our master because we are not under law, but under grace. Grace is not permission to sin. Grace is the environment where sin loses its dominion. Titus 2:11–12 Grace teaches us to say no to ungodliness and live godly lives. Fear may pressure behavior for a while, but grace trains the heart. New Covenant holiness is produced by grace, not condemnation. Romans 8:1 There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. This is not just true on our best spiritual days. No condemnation is the settled reality of everyone who belongs to Christ. 1 Peter 1:15 Peter says, “Be holy in all you do.” Under the New Covenant, this is not a command to earn holiness. It is a call to live outwardly from the holy identity God has already given us. Colossians 2:10 Believers are complete in Christ. We are not spiritually half-built or waiting for some missing piece to arrive. Holiness flows from the fullness we already have in Jesus. 2 Peter 1:3–4 God has given believers everything needed for life and godliness, and we have become partakers of the divine nature. This means holiness is not self-improvement with Bible verses attached. It is Christ’s life being expressed through us. Ephesians 1:13–14 When we believed, we were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance. Our union with Christ is not temporary or fragile. God has marked us as His own. Colossians 2:13–14 God forgave us all our sins and canceled the debt against us, nailing it to the cross. Forgiveness is not temporary, partial, or probationary. Jesus did not forgive us halfway. Hebrews 7:22 Jesus is the guarantee of a better covenant. Our confidence is not in our grip on God, but in Christ Himself. The New Covenant rests on Jesus’ finished work, not our performance. Romans 8:38–39 Nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. This reinforces the security of the believer under the New Covenant. God’s love is not fragile or dependent on our spiritual consistency. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Anyone in Christ is a new creation. Holiness is not trying to repair the old self. It is learning to live from the new life God has already given. Romans 6:6 Our old self was crucified with Christ. This verse sets up next week’s episode on the “sinful nature” double-talk. If the old self died with Christ, believers should not be taught to keep identifying with what Jesus says was crucified. “Grace Saves You… BUT Obedience Keeps You Close?” The Christian Double Talk That’s Exhausting Believers

I’d love to hear from you. [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2515893/fan_mail/new] What if one of the biggest pressures in modern Christianity isn’t coming from the world… but from Christian double-talk? We say: “Saved by grace.” Then quietly teach: “Stay close through performance.” We say: “Jesus finished the work.” Then hand believers a lifetime of pressure trying to maintain what He finished. We say: “You’re accepted.” Then leave people wondering every day: “Am I doing enough?” “Am I close enough?” “Is God disappointed with me?” In Episode 46 of Grace Uncensored, Billy McDonald exposes one of the biggest hidden pressure systems in Christianity and asks a difficult question: Does grace produce obedience… or does pressure? We’ll unpack: • Why many sincere believers feel spiritually exhausted • The Christian double-talk around obedience • Why fear never changes the heart • The confusion around “die to self” and “I die daily” • Why “take up your cross” may not mean what many think it means • How union with Christ changes obedience completely • Why grace produces the transformation religion keeps trying to force This episode also includes listener stories from around the world and explores how many believers moved from fear, guilt, and striving… into freedom and rest. Repentance… or Religious Rehab? (The Double-Talk Exposed)

I’d love to hear from you. [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2515893/fan_mail/new] What is repentance—really? Is it a constant cycle of confessing sin to stay forgiven… or something completely different?  In this episode of Grace Uncensored, we expose the confusion around repentance and uncover the truth that sets you free.  If you’ve ever wondered, “Did I repent enough?” or felt stuck in a loop of sin-management, this will change how you see the gospel forever. Thanks for watching Grace Uncensored—where we clear away the noise, break free from legalism, and rediscover the freedom, joy, and rest found in Jesus Christ. In Episode 45, Billy McDonald tackles one of the biggest areas of Christian double-talk: repentance. Many believers have been taught that repentance brings life—but then it’s redefined as an ongoing requirement to stay forgiven, stay clean, or stay in fellowship with God. But is that what the Bible actually says? This episode walks through the truth that repentance in the New Covenant is not a lifelong treadmill of sin-tracking and confession—it’s a change of mind that leads to life in Christ. Once you see the difference between sin-management and mind renewal, everything changes. You’ll discover:  • Why repentance is not about earning forgiveness  • The difference between repentance for salvation and renewal for believers  • Why “confess to be forgiven” creates anxiety instead of freedom  • How grace—not law—is the real power for transformation  • What it means to live from forgiveness instead of chasing it If you’ve been caught in the cycle of trying to stay forgiven, this episode will bring clarity, confidence, and rest. 👉 Visit https://GraceUncensored.org [https://graceuncensored.org/] Watch the latest episode, catch up on past episodes, get the FREE Grace Uncensored Devotional, and Support the Message. God’s Will… Or God’s Maze? (The Double-Talk Exposed)

I’d love to hear from you. [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2515893/fan_mail/new] Are you afraid of missing God’s will for your life?  What if God’s will isn’t a hidden path—but something you’re already in?  In this episode, we expose the fear, the confusion, and the Christian double-talk around “finding God’s will” and replace it with clarity, confidence, and freedom in Christ. So many believers live with quiet anxiety—wondering if they’ve made the wrong decision, missed God’s plan, or stepped outside His will. But what if that fear is built on a misunderstanding? In this episode of Grace Uncensored, Billy McDonald breaks down what Scripture actually says about God’s will under the New Covenant. You’ll discover that God’s will is not a fragile bullseye you can fall out of—but a secure reality rooted in your union with Christ. We’ll walk through how: ·       God’s will is revealed—not hidden ·       You are already included, sealed, and secure in Christ ·       Forgiveness is once-for-all, not something you maintain ·       The Holy Spirit leads you from within—not through fear or guesswork ·       You can make real-life decisions with confidence, wisdom, and freedom If you’ve ever felt stuck, afraid, or overwhelmed trying to “get it right,” this episode will help you breathe again and walk forward with peace. You’ve Been Taught Prayer Wrong… Here’s the Truth

I’d love to hear from you. [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2515893/fan_mail/new] You’ve Been Taught Prayer Wrong… Here’s the Truth Is prayer something you’re supposed to get better at… or something you’ve been misunderstanding all along?  Why does prayer often feel like pressure instead of peace?  What if prayer was never meant to be a performance—but a relationship you’re already fully invited into? In this episode of Grace Uncensored, Billy McDonald exposes one of the most common areas of Christian double-talk: we say prayer is a relationship… but then treat it like a requirement. If you’ve ever felt like you’re not praying enough, not doing it right, or that God is somehow disappointed in your prayer life, this episode will set you free. You’ll discover what prayer actually looks like under grace—not as a system to earn favor, but as a natural conversation flowing from your identity in Christ. This is where anxiety is replaced with peace, pressure is replaced with freedom, and prayer becomes something you enjoy—not something you avoid.
