Descripción

To mark a very special day, World Mental Health Day, we are back with the most powerful story from Hannah Ennis. She is someone who inspired me to share my own story and I’m so grateful she has trusted me to now share hers. She takes us on the journey that led to her time in rehab in Thailand because unfortunately like so many others, the healthcare system in Ireland failed her. We chat about how we’ve both used drugs and alcohol as an escape as well as serious self-sabotage and navigating our way out of that. Hannah shares the daily habits, tools & alternative therapies that help her keep the intrusive thought and old patterns from creeping in. But still, not every day is perfect. Make sure to give Hannah a follow on Instagram: @hannahennis__ TRIGGER WARNING: contains conversations surrounding Mental Health, suicide, self harm and depression that some listeners may find upsetting. If you or anyone you know is struggling, please see the list of helplines attached below. Samaritans: 116 123 Pieta house: 1800 247 247 Aware: 1800 80 48 48 If you live outside Ireland, Please search for helplines near you. Ep 9: Mastering your mindset in Sport - with my brother

Kirstie sits down with her brother, Jordan, who plays rugby professionally and gets an insight into what his day to day looks like (to my surprise he doesn't just go out and throw the ball lol). Find out what it's like to be a team player even when you're in competition with each other and how he keeps a positive mindset in such a high pressured environment. We also chat about how much your environment impacts your mindset & how no one is responsible for your success except you. Jordan is involved in a mental wellbeing support network for rugby players because let's face it your mindset & Mental Health is just as important as staying fit. Having many people around him who have struggled over the years, he explains how being there for peoples not a one size fits all & looks different for everyone. Make sure to give Jordan a follow on Instagram: @jordanduggan
