March Madness is upon us and on this episode of “Hanni & the ‘Hawks” one of the key pieces of KU’s 1986 Final Four team, Calvin Thompson, drops by to reminisce on that special 35-4 season that culminated in Larry Brown’s first trip to the Final Four.   Calvin shares insights on Ted Owens and JoJo White first recruited him to Kansas from nearby Wyandotte High School, as well as what it was like being coached by Larry Brown and his legendary staff of young assistants. “Pony” also educates the listener on the storied careers of 1980’s stars like Danny Manning, Ron Kellogg, Greg Dreiling, Cedric Hunter and more.
