Friendships can be beautiful, complicated, and sometimes confusing. Some last a lifetime, others for just a season. When we’re not sure how to navigate the ups and downs, the best thing we can do is turn to the One who knows it all. God’s direction is always the right direction.

That’s not it

Sometimes people get it wrong. They try to control people with guilt and shame usually because they’re afraid. But that’s not it. The truth is full of peace and acceptance for everyone. I hope you’ll give it a shot. Romans 8:1:There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

Lucy Inspiring Light

Some people cling to their faith in every circumstance and become this bright light, almost a lighthouse for others. When you meet someone like that, they’ve likely come out of a storm to get there. 2 Corinthians 4:6 (NIV) – “For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.”

Focus on the Good to Make it Grow

We are not our circumstances or our emotions. We are creators. It’s easy to get stuck when things suck. We need to call upon our creative powers to build and grow from every circumstance. Said with love and empathy for the times that do truly suck. - Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. Romans 5:3–4
