They don’t knock. They don’t make a sound when they enter. But somehow… they always have a reservation. ⸻ The first time I saw them, I thought it was the weed. Grave Mist. Smooth hit. Earthy. Wrong. The kind of high that makes silence feel… crowded. I was working host at Edelweiss & Ivy when the screen flickered. The Wexlers – Party of 4 – Confirmed. Before I was even born. ⸻ They sat in the back. Shadow Booth. No one else would go near it. Not after the mirror started showing things that weren’t there. Not after staff began forgetting shifts… Forgetting names… Forgetting themselves. ⸻ They don’t eat the food. They eat something else. Something you don’t realize you’ve lost until it’s gone. A laugh. A memory. A piece of who you were. ⸻ And the worst part? Once you’ve seen them… They remember you too. ⸻ So let me ask you something…If you walked into a restaurant… And the host smiled at you like they were barely holding something back… And the table was already set…And the mirror behind you showed extra faces… ⸻ Would you still sit down… or would you walk away— even if your name was already on the reservation?
