The United Rodeo Association Finals were recently held in Topeka, KS. and  Russ and Rusty pulled a few strings to convince Barry Wright of Wright Rodeo Company and Chuck McKellips of CR McKellips Rodeo Co. to spend time on the Hoof to Hat Podcast. These two gentlemen talk about the ins and outs of rodeo stock contracting, up and coming rodeo contestants and working with family members, Chuck McKellips talks about the days at Benjamin Ranch in Kansas City and how he got to know Rusty when she worked there too. There is more to a person than meets the eye and when it comes to cowgirls, Marilyn Domer of Kansas is a perfect example.   This week Russ and Rusty help reveal some of this accomplished barrel racer/team roper's not-so-hidden talent...ART! Marilyn is a published illustrator whose art is featured in the popular children's books "Short Go Makes the NFR", "Short Go's BIG Ranch Adventure", Short Go coloring and activity books and now the latest book in the series "Short Go and the Junior Rodeo Trail". These books are based on true life ranch rodeo kid experiences and beautifully written by Marilyn's daughter, Lindsay Keller and proudly published and printed in the USA.
