God Gets a Name

Exodus 3 | So far in the Story of God, God has not introduced Himself with a name. Oh, the narrator's voice has a name for God, and some of the characters have a name for God. Today, God introduces, not just a name, but a whole concept of who God is.

Moses Gets a Name

Exodus 2 - 3 | The story of the Hebrew people are oppressed and in need of rescuing. God hears their cry and is moved to compassion. But, who to call on? God is in need of a hero. God is in need of a savior. God calls on a man with half a name.

The Chaos Comes Back

It begins by showing that the chaos God pushed back in Genesis has returned through Pharaoh’s empire, slavery, and the Nile — but God is already preparing rescue through a baby in a tiny ark.
