Morning Mantra: "Never tell a person to be strong when they come to you to be weak." I know I talk a lot on here about being positive.  But there is a phenomenon called toxic positivity that we should all be aware of. Toxic positivity is a process which results in denial, minimization, and invalidation of the authentic human emotional experience. Toxic positivity is a forced, false positivity. So when you or someone share something difficult, it insists that you turn it into something positive.  Which ultimately should be our goal, except we need to feel our emotions, process the experience, and find our way to a better place authentically. If someone comes to you in their weakest state, let’s say from grief, and you encourage them to be strong instead of allowing them to experience the grief, what you’re basically saying to them is your comfort is more important than their reality. There’s a difference between being truly happy and pretending everything‘s fine when it’s not. Let’s not encourage ourselves or others to feel like it’s “wrong” for feeling anything but OK.  Let's be a safe space for real feelings. #BeOpenToLessThanHappySometimes #BeHorsey #BeHippie #HorseHippie #MorningMantra #WordsToInspire #InspirationalQuotes #SmallBusinessOwner #WomenOwned #HorseHippieBoutique #MorningMotivation #Equestrian #HorseLover #QuotesToInspire #HorseHippieBoutique

The Wait

Morning Mantra: "Sometimes the wait is longer because the blessing is bigger." When you have a dream that you can’t let go of, trust your instincts and pursue it. But remember; real dreams take work, they take patience, and sometimes they require you to dig down very deep. Waiting for things to happen can require a deep amount of patience. And patience isn’t simply the ability to wait, it’s how we behave while we’re waiting. You must remember and believe that everything comes to you at the right time. Each day is a step forward. Even if it feels like a small one. Never give up on something really want.  Dreams don’t expire; they wait patiently for your courage to catch up. #BePatientWithTheProcess  #BeHappy #BeHorsey #BeHippie #HorseHippie #MorningMantra #WordsToInspire #InspirationalQuotes #SmallBusinessOwner #WomenOwned #HorseHippieBoutique #MorningMotivation #Equestrian #HorseLover #QuotesToInspire #HorseHippieBoutique

Being Optimistic

Morning Mantra: "What if things work out better than expected?" This mantra is a little permission slip to expect good things.  To think things could go the way you want instead of always thinking the worse. It's easy to go to the dark side, but you can retrain your mind, your thoughts, your energy to a more positive path.  If you don't open up to the idea of a different outcome then your thoughts are just replaying past impressions. As soon as you "hear" yourself think the worse, become aware of the thought pattern and shift it to something that could go right.  For example, "I bet it will rain all over my party" turns into "It could just be a passing shower"  and eventually "The weather will be perfect on Saturday." Whatever is going to happen will happen regardless of how you overthink it.  But you staying hopeful, grateful and optimistic makes YOU able to handle the outcome better.  Even if it does rain, your attitude about it will be much more conducive to a fun party! Why add yucky feelings to your day?  Flip the switch on your thinking and expect the BEST! #BeGoodVibes #BeHappy #BeHorsey #BeHippie #HorseHippie #MorningMantra #WordsToInspire #InspirationalQuotes #SmallBusinessOwner #WomenOwned #HorseHippieBoutique #MorningMotivation #Equestrian #HorseLover #QuotesToInspire #HorseHippieBoutique

The Art of Doing Nothing

Morning Mantra: "Sometimes doing nothing is the best thing you can do...for you."  Something that is very prevalent in society right now is performance pressure. When we see someone working 80 hours a week, we don’t think they are depressed or stressed.  No, we think they are ambitious, responsible, impressive! But what if overworking is a symptom of a fear of not being enough and a need to be valued?   The voice in your head saying you're "not doing enough" isn't yours. It's inherited.  It's been passed down from society, educators, and your parents who taught us that our worth is based on achievement. We need to stop glamorizing overworking. The absence of sleep, good diet, exercise, relaxation, and time with friends and family isn’t something to be applauded. Too many people wear their burnout as a badge of honor. But what are they running from? Why must they stay so busy? Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is rest. You’re worth isn’t measured by your hustle. #BeWillingToSilenceTheVoiceInYourHead #BeHappy #BeHorsey #BeHippie #HorseHippie #MorningMantra #inspirationalQuotes #MorningMotivation #Equestrian #HorseLover #QuotesToInspire #HorseHippieBrand #HorseHippieBoutique
