♡ Get Up, Girl: It's Your Time to Thrive! ♡
This episode is the first installment of the "Get Up, Girl" #peptalk series on Hustle Honey designed to motivate, encourage, and inspire you to go after the life you deserve, and to stop selling yourself short. It's not for the faint of heart; it's for the bold and fabulous! Are you ready to level the hell up, babe? Let's do it!
The Dark Side of #MeToo
The #MeToo movement brought to the forefront many thunderous voices that had been silent for far too long. Voices of victims who endured sexual assault at the hands of strangers, relatives, friends, and people who abused their position of power (ahem, Harvey Weinstein). It became a way for those who felt powerless to gain their power back, and to hold those accountable for their wrongdoings. But with anything that brings light, there is always a shadow that is cast. In this episode, we explore the dark side of #MeToo and the inequality of treatment of men vs women.
Confessions Of A Borderline
What do Amber Heard and I have in common? We both have one of the most stigmatized mental health disorders that exist: Borderline Personality Disorder. Unfortunately, having that in common with someone who is hated among the general public isn't exactly doing me, or any other Borderline, a favor. In this episode, I will be tackling stigma by addressing hate comments and using this time to educate others about the reality of this disorder. A Change of Seasons
Mission Aborted
What do 1 in 4 women have in common with each other? Abortions! Few realize how common they are, or the fact that there's a large chance someone they know personally has had one, mainly because of how hush-hush the topic is. The loudest voices are from those who are protesting the right to an abortion, and the softest voices are from those who have had one. The reality is that it's scary to discuss and openly admit because being judged, losing loved ones, or even being criminalized is a very real consequence. In this episode, one of the hosts of Hustle Honey is sharing her abortion story for Abortion Recovery Awareness Month in hopes to educate and provide a safe space for women who have either had one or are in the process of having one. You are not alone.
