In today's episode we talked about the history of Braille and moon script. How soldiers a prior version of Braille called night writing, the development of  moon script and the differences between Braille and moon script when it comes to learning efficiency and reading acumen. Palmer talked about his experience with braille covering music braille and and how his teachers taught him braille using tennis balls and muffin trays. We than discussed the use of large print and the universal experience of carrying giant text books to school and our experiences with cctv's and monoculars. We discussed cataracts and how they affect reading. And how eye strain and sight fatigue could be mitigated using different screen settings. Particularly dark mode and high contrast. The effects of bluelight and brightness were mentioned. As well as a discussion on reading comprehension and acquity. And the lack of reading comprehension.
