What do you do when life feels like it's going in circles? When your prayers seem unanswered, your circumstances won't change, and you're left wondering if God has forgotten you. In week 3 of our God Intended It For Good series, Kevin McPeak and Kristian Mendoza continue the story of Joseph in Genesis 40. Wrongfully imprisoned and forgotten by the very person who promised to help him, Joseph finds himself in a long season of waiting. Yet even there, God is still at work. This message explores how we can remain faithful when we're stuck between where we are and where we hoped we'd be. You'll discover three practices for waiting well: • Move from self-focused to servant-focused. • Move from self-reliant to God-reliant. • Move from trying to change your circumstances to allowing God to build your character. Whether you're waiting for healing, restoration, direction, a breakthrough, or an answered prayer, this message is a reminder that God's presence doesn't disappear in the waiting. He is still working, even when you can't yet see it. One of the most powerful truths from Joseph's story is this: Forgotten by people does not mean forgotten by God. If you're in a difficult season, don't give up. God may be doing His deepest work in the very place you feel stuck. -------------------------------------------------- Find us on Facebook [https://www.facebook.com/imperialbeachchurch/] and on Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/imperialbeachchurch/?hl=en]. episode Integrity Under Pressure | Kevin McPeak artwork

Integrity Under Pressure | Kevin McPeak

Does integrity still matter when no one seems to notice, when the truth costs you, or when doing the right thing leads to the wrong outcome? In week 2 of our God Intended It For Good series, Kevin McPeak continues the story of Joseph in Genesis 39. After being betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery, Joseph finds himself in Egypt, serving in Potiphar’s house. Even there, God is with Joseph, and Joseph continues to live with integrity under pressure. But when Potiphar’s wife falsely accuses him, Joseph’s integrity does not keep him from suffering. Instead, it lands him in prison. This message explores what Joseph’s story teaches us about living faithfully when integrity is tested: • Integrity doesn’t depend on my circumstances. • When we lack integrity, we often attack, blame, and twist the truth. • Integrity comes with a cost. • Integrity speaks the truth but doesn’t seek revenge. If you are walking through a season where your character has been questioned, stories have been twisted, or doing the right thing has cost you, this message is a reminder: Maintain your integrity. Trust that God sees the truth. And believe that He is still writing your story. -------------------------------------------------- Find us on Facebook [https://www.facebook.com/imperialbeachchurch/] and on Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/imperialbeachchurch/?hl=en]. episode A New Future | Kevin McPeak artwork

A New Future | Kevin McPeak

What gives us hope when life hurts? In the final week of our Brand New series, Pastor Kevin McPeak walks through the second half of Romans 8 and reminds us that suffering is real—but it is not the end of the story. Through one of the most powerful chapters in all of Scripture, we discover how followers of Jesus can live with unstoppable hope and unconquerable love, even in the middle of pain. Romans 8 reminds us that this life is temporary, but the promises of God are eternal. This message explores four powerful truths about what it means to live with A New Future in Christ: • Suffering is here now, yet I have hope something far better will be. • In my suffering I have help from God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. • God works for my good, even in suffering, by making me like Christ. • My victory in Christ is certain because God’s love never fails. Pastor Kevin also speaks honestly and compassionately about grief, loss, disappointment, and the reality of suffering in this broken world. This is not a “just move on” message—it’s a reminder that Jesus meets us in our pain and gives us a hope bigger than our circumstances. If you are walking through suffering, uncertainty, or discouragement, this message is a reminder: The best is still ahead. God has not abandoned you. And nothing can separate you from His love. ----------------------------- Find us on Facebook [https://www.facebook.com/imperialbeachchurch/] and on Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/imperialbeachchurch/?hl=en]. episode A New Power | Guy Johnson artwork

A New Power | Guy Johnson

What if the Christian life was never meant to be lived in your own strength? In week 7 of our Brand New series, Pastor Guy Johnson walks through the powerful truths of Romans 8—one of the most hope-filled and life-changing chapters in all of Scripture. Often called “The Everest of the New Testament,” Romans 8 reminds us what is now true because of Jesus and what it means to live with the power of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Guy revisits the journey through Romans and shows how Paul has been building toward this incredible reality: Because of Jesus, we are no longer condemned, controlled by sin, or separated from God—we are brand new. This message unpacks four life-changing truths for every follower of Jesus: • I have a new verdict because I’m in Christ. • I have a new mindset because the Spirit is changing me. • I have a new power because the Spirit is in me. • I have a new identity because I’m adopted into God’s family. Pastor Guy reminds us that the Christian life is not about trying harder—it’s about surrendering more fully to the Holy Spirit. If you’ve ever struggled with shame, insecurity, temptation, or feeling spiritually stuck, this message is a reminder: You are not condemned. You are not alone. And you are not powerless. ––––– If this message encouraged you, share it with someone who needs to hear about the freedom and grace of Jesus. ––––– Find us on Facebook [https://www.facebook.com/imperialbeachchurch/] and on Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/imperialbeachchurch/?hl=en].
