Descripción

Made in the U.S.A is desired; however, the customer is still learning why domestic products cost more than imported products. Designers who want to produce domestically convey pride behind the significance of Made in the U.S.A. In historical regard, 96% of garments supplied to the U.S. in the late 1960s were produced in the Garment District of NYC. Before fast fashion dominated the industry the value of what constructed an article of clothing was relevant to the customer. Today, we're seeing a revolution in post-consumer recycling and reselling, a movement for high-quality minimalism.  Originally published: August 2020.
