Out of their experimental process emerge themes of intermodality, colour, polyrhythm, flight, ontology, belief, and kinaesthetics.   Selected creative output includes Belief System, a 120-channel spatial audio installation touring internationally with Ranters Theatre, and shortlisted for The Blake Art Prize; Luminesce, a live, audio-visual collaboration with vocalist Gian Slater which won The International Visual Music Award in Frankfurt in 2015; and the practice-led research work Aileron One, a world-first integration of performance technology and full-sized aircraft enabling music to be performed via the expressive medium of gliding flight.   Alongside their creative output Bob works as Director of Technology for Melbourne interactive arts company Playable Streets, contributes to open source software projects, lectures at several universities, and consults as a certified trainer in the Max multimedia programming environment.  "In approaching the sound design, one moment of the quartet reminded me strongly of an aeolian harp - a stringed instrument played by wind.  I had been exploring weather-powered instruments recently and used this as a thematic tie for the selection of sonic elements: water, bird song, wind chimes.  I imagine the old upright piano as having been subjected to these same elements, perhaps having been left in a paddock for a few years." Guitar arpeggios, Synthesiser patterns and his own vocals are a constant theme in his sound, which is primarily electronic and experimental in nature, however finds it footing and origins in Hip-Hop, Folk and Pop music. Liew sees music as the platform through which he feels most comfortable. Since 2003 Jason has collaborated with leading arts companies (State Theatre Company SA, Restless Dance Theatre, Patch Theatre, Chunky Move, Force Majeure, Closer Productions, Performance Space, Arts House, pvi collective, Theatre Republic) and internationally (SPILL Festival, SOIT, Banff Centre). Over the last decade Jason created a trilogy of sound-based works focused on quietness, including Stereopublic which won a TED Prize (City2.0, 2013), Silent Type (2014) and the 2016 research odyssey, Quiet Ecology. In 2022-2023 he made new scores for ANTIGONE (State Theatre Company SA) and Astrid Pill’s ‘I Hide In Bathrooms’. In 2024 he released the song cycle called ‘Ageism’. In 2024 he composed for Rebecca Meston's 'Hits', Theatre Republic's 'The Almighty Sometimes', Cirkidz 'Stacks On' and was the co-curator of Adhocracy at Vitalstatistix. He releases music internationally under the names Panoptique Electrical and Sweeney. "When asked to make an ambient electronic music response that integrates ASQ's recording of Schumann’s String Quartet in A major Op.41 No.3 I began by listening for the swells and waves of notes and chords that would swim beautifully alongside this analogue synth loop. Since 2005 Belinda has been writing chamber music, orchestral music and incidental music for the stage and screen. Belinda was first violinist and composing member of the Australian Art Music and Ruby Award winning, Adelaide-based Zephyr Quartet for 15 years. Belinda now enjoys a vibrant performing career as a freelance violinist and violist in chamber ensembles, theatre and world music bands. Belinda is a regular freelance musician with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. "It feels slightly sacrilegious to re arrange Beethoven so I really wanted to stay true to his colour palette and imagine what this quartet might sound like if you heard it in a dream or as a soundtrack to a silent film.  I introduced a few electronic delay and reverb effects to morph some of the ASQ samples as well as adding extra strings and piano, essentially giving the track the sound of a piano quartet.  The diminished harmony at the opening of the quartet is astonishing and I really enjoyed working with that part in particular."
