Hadas discusses the regions emergency response efforts to house, feed, and clothe the refugees from Israel’s “Gaza Envelope” and the ongoing needs to help those still unable to return to their homes, following the events of October 7. Also on this special Israel at War edition of Innovative States, Negev Foundation President and Founder, Sam Hoenigspeaks with Shawn about the foundation’s pivot from its everyday activities, to assisting the Israeli evacuees, and providing aid and assistance for the Israeli evacuees, with a particular emphasis on ensuring their agriculturally-based businesses will be able to  resume their operations as soon as conditions in Israel allow.

She oversees business development, regulation, inventory planning, and marketing strategy for food and is president of the Tel Aviv and Central Chamber of Commerce, the food branch and the Israeli Institute of Standards. Sides discusses the cost of doing business in Israel for food manufacturers getting Kosher certification and the high demand of branded food imports. Sides lays out everything necessary for food processors to evaluate when choosing a food broker. Haribo Gummy Bears is an example of one of Sides’ success stories helping a company navigate the Kosher and export environment. News You Can Use – Brevel creates “ghost” proteins for vegan foods with microalgae. Their product will be used in vegan cheeses by the end of 2023. Oren Kleinberger, Technical Manager at Atlanta Pure Water designs, manufactures, installs, and commissions ground water, surface water, and wastewater systems for many U.S. water needs for over 20 years. Recently, they installed a system at Kingwood Garden Centers in Mansfield, Ohio for an antique duck pond renovation. Israeli companies provide custom water solutions, making them ideal partners. Odis Filtration is one of their preferred partners as a result of their unique scope of tailored solutions. Wastewater recycling customization is a significant strength for Israeli companies.
