Descripción

According to Mindful.org [http://Mindful.org], "Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present and aware of where we are and what we're doing and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. Mindfulness is available to us in every moment, whether through meditations and body scans, or mindful moment practices like taking time to pause and breathe when the phone rings instead of rushing to answer it." In this episode we discuss mindfulness as a way to be fully present, intentional, and avoid being reactionary. We discuss techniques such as mindfulness meditation, movement, and small actionable ways to be more mindful in your daily life and in your spiritual practice. Practicing mindfulness can bring peace and stillness into our own personal lives, while being mindful and present with others creates a sacred space of respect and non-judgement. As spiritual practitioners in a tourist town, we discuss the importance of being mindful and present for our clients. Inner Child Healing

Every spiritual practitioner's favorite topic - Inner Child Healing. The Swiss psychologist Carl Jung is commonly credited as coining the term "inner child". The inner child is the unhealed aspect of the psyche that developed in childhood. Inner child wounds typically manifest from trauma, neglect, frightening situations, or other negative events & influences early in a child's life. Inner child wounds that we have yet to heal and integrate, carry over into our adulthood and may manifest in dysfunctional ways until they are addressed. Inner child wounds are individual and relative to the person and can vary from war trauma to an emotional wound that our child-self perceived as severe, while our adult self would deem it as minor looking back on the event. Healing and integrating the inner child is an important step on the path to wholeness. In this episode we discuss our own inner child healing experiences, as well as some stories from working with clients and their inner child aspects. **Disclaimer: We are not medical professionals and none of what is stated in this episode should be taken as medical or psychological advice.
