It’ll Always Be Fun with Brooke and Miranda
This week, we’re sitting down with our friend Rette Roettker — and her story starts in the sweetest, most small-town way. Think Little House on the Prairie meets The Andy Griffith Show, with a little flour on the counter and something good cooking in Grandma’s kitchen. 🏡🥧 Rette grew up on a family farm with her parents, sister, and grandparents, surrounded by family, hard work, and the kind of memories that make you want to slow down and pull up a chair. She shares about learning to cook from her grandma, going away to school, becoming a massage therapist, and eventually making the big leap into opening her own restaurant. And not just any restaurant — The Colony, a beloved community spot inside a historic old movie theater that already held so many memories for so many people. 🎬🍽️ We also talk about the tender parts of her story, including losing her mom and learning how to keep going when life looks different than you thought it would. This is only part one, and next week we’ll be back with the rest of Rette’s story. 💛 🎧 Listen now — and as always, when we’re together, it’ll always be fun!
