In this brief episode, I challenge the us riders to reconsider our use of the word "Freedom," and perhaps consider "Peace" as a healthier, more complete mantra for what the open road can bring us.

Larry Bornhurst and "La Hormiga"

Epidode 2 of "It's Better in the Wind" focuses on astronomer and privateer record setter Larry Bornhurst, and his Harley-Davidson sponsored attempt at setting the record for racing from Tijuana to La Paz in 1974.  When the Baja highway was paved in the early 1970s, a new class of motorcycle was ready to attempt the record for the fastest time.  "La Hormiga" was born from a motorcycle cursed by problems in the off-road racing attempts, and despite troubled testing and a seemingly insurmountable lean running condition, Larry attempted the record in the spring of 1974.

Welcome to the "It's Better in the Wind" Podcast!
