"Don't be content with your everyday way of life, be open to change '' is how Gordon Courtney, a student at Duquesne University in the Pappert School of Music views the world after his research trip to Ghana, Africa this summer.  Gordon, a student interested in ethnomusicology, traveled to Ghana this summer on a research grant to study the African instrument the "gyil".  Gordon shares his accounts, lessons learned, and so much more about the African country and the surprising way of life they live.
