Jesus Girl A Women's Ministry
Join the Women's AM Bible Study as we follow Pastor Holly goes through Psalms 68. In Psalms 68, David describes God and how the enemies of God scatter. In verse one, "Let God arise!", but how does that work? God is present and active. Letting God arise is not passive it's a decision: we have to say it out loud - this is how we remind ourselves that we won't carry it, that God has authority over it. Then we need to surrender it specifically - God I give you .... name it. Then shift our focus away from wanting to take it back. No 'what if' but rather "God Has". The change doesn't happen outside, but rather inside - accepting His peace. In verses 4-6 David describes God's heart; father of orphans and champions of widows. He is concerned for you and sits with you. In verses 7-10 David remembers what God has already done - how He's come through for you in the past; days, weeks, months and years. In the wilderness periods of life can be lonely - but it's also peaceful and quiet. It could be the period of molding you into the better various of yourself. Verses 16-18 David talks about the differences between mountains; we can find in these scriptures that God will choose the "mountain" that He wants to dwell. David asks why the large mountains are jealous - but God chooses the one who is willing and open. We are who He is designing us to be. Don't miss the importance of verses 19-23: "Blessed be the Lord day after day He carries us". In verses 24-27 is a celebration of recognition; even if you don't see it yet. Finally in verses 28-35 "kingdoms of the earth sing to God", God may be over all of it - but He cares for YOU.
