Saturday Rewind: The Way of Freedom

In this message, we look at what it means to follow Jesus as the Way, not just believe certain truths about Him. Paul preached the Kingdom boldly in Ephesus, and some believed. Others rejected the message and publicly spoke against the Way. But Paul protected the believers, moved them into a new place of teaching, and the Word of the Lord kept spreading. We also connect this to: * Matthew 6:33 and seeking first the Kingdom * John 14:6 and Jesus as the Way, the truth, and the life * John 8:31-36 and the freedom Jesus gives * Acts 19 and the visible life of followers of the Way Jesus does not call us to believe in the Way while staying enslaved to our old way of life. He calls us to follow the Way into true freedom as sons and daughters of God. So today, ask the Lord to help you receive His truth, obey His teaching, and live in a way that is visibly different because you belong to Him. 1. Ask: Am I following the Way, or am I just familiar with the Way? 2. Pray: Father, help me do things Your way, not my way.
