Descripción

Have you ever felt like your life is stuck in a waiting room while everyone else seems to be moving forward? In this episode, I'm talking about what happens when we put our lives on hold while waiting for answers, opportunities, relationships, or clarity. From a random HomeGoods mystery that sent my brain into detective mode to the stories we create when we don't have all the facts, we're diving into why uncertainty makes us so uncomfortable. I share why the "I'll be happy when..." mindset keeps us from enjoying the life we're living right now. Sometimes the biggest growth is happening when it feels like nothing is happening at all. If you've been feeling stuck between where you've been and where you're going, this episode is for you.

episode Talking More, Saying Less artwork

Talking More, Saying Less

Ever wonder why we have a million ways to message each other, yet still feel so disconnected? In this episode of Just Can't Help Myself, I share a chaotic trip to Asbury Park featuring a parking lot toenail-clipper, a minor shoe-stealing scare, and my manager Ryan who took the funnest photos of me on the beach after dinner. But a surprisingly deep dinner conversation sparks a bigger realization about how we actually communicate. Are we truly connecting, or are we just filling the silence with surface-level politeness? I get real about the anxiety of unspoken shifts in relationships, the bad habit of listening just to respond, and the loneliness of pretending we can handle everything alone. Stop hiding behind those unread DMs, check out this episode, and try saying what you actually mean this week.

episode Why I Started This Podcast: The Real Story artwork

Why I Started This Podcast: The Real Story

In today’s episode, I’m finally sitting down to share the real story behind why I started this podcast and what the title truly means to me. After navigating major life shifts with my kids growing more independent and facing a big professional transition, I found myself needing a real, honest space for deep connection. I realized that while I genuinely can't help myself when it comes to being there for everyone else, I historically have a much harder time giving that same grace and help to myself. This show is my way of stepping past fear and judgment to create an unpolished space where we can talk openly about anxiety, identity, and healing, and I even chat about why it’s so important to have my dog, Stassi, along for the ride. Thank you so much for being here, for growing with me, and for exploring the messy, beautiful parts of life together! Episode 13 is liiiiiiiive.

episode Why Do Compliments Feel So Awkward? artwork

Why Do Compliments Feel So Awkward?

Ever wonder why it is so easy to give love and support but the second someone compliments you, shows up for you, or genuinely tries to help, your brain starts pushing back? Welcome back to Just Can’t Help Myself, where I am exposing my own issues so you feel better about yours. In this episode, I am getting real about why receiving kindness, help, and genuine care can feel so incredibly uncomfortable when we are used to doing everything ourselves. I talk about our obsession with wearing independence like a badge of honor and how I even struggled when a loved one genuinely tried to be loving and supportive. Spoiler alert, familiar and healthier are not the same thing, and healing means learning how to let the good things land. So join me as I challenge all of us overthinkers to practice the ultimate, awkward act of vulnerability, simply saying thank you.

From Grief to Growth: How Therapy & Resilience Shaped a New Phase of Life (Christina Moscatiello)

Welcome to the very first guest episode of Just Can't Help Myself. In this episode, I sit down with my beautiful and resilient friend, Christina Moscatiello, who joins me as a model, influencer, makeup artist, and Pilates instructor. Together, we open up about the realities behind our social media highlight reels, navigating the unique challenges of our 40s, and finding comfort in being uncomfortable. Christina bravely shares her deeply personal journey as a grieving widow, highlighting how therapy and self-discovery helped her find a new phase of life after loss. We also dive into her love for Miami, the transformative power of Pilates, and managing social anxiety in a messy world.  We wrapped up the episode with a fun round of "would you rather" questions because who doesn't love a little question game?!. Tune in, friends!!
