Our final episode is live! The Intersection delves into the experiences of two generations of black and Jewish women in Baltimore. The students explored how being black and Jewish have shaped their identities.

Affirming Access

The Office of Population Affiars reports that "a safe and affirming healthcare environment is critical in fostering better outcomes for transgender youth." This week's episode explores gender-affirming care in Baltimore City through the lens of a provider, Chase Braxten, and two individuals. Through our guests, students hear how access to care greatly improve quality of life.

Clean Slate Initiative

This episode examines both the personal and the policy aspects of clean slate. Students speak with Wayne Brewton, convicted of murder at age 17 with a life sentence, and paroled after 38 years as he shares his story of victim awareness and a legal expert from The Southern Poverty Law Center, Leslie Jones.

Representation Matters: Getting Women in Office

In this week's episode, students speak with Delegate Aletheia McCaskil, Councilwoman Odette Ramos and Diane Fink from Emerge Maryland to examine the importance of women in political spaces.

Green Space for All

This episode students explore how environmental racism impacts communities of color. Students explore how important the growth of green spaces can be to decrease the health risks associated to the lack of trees.
