Seekers was actually the very first YouTube channel I ever subscribed to and a huge part of the inspiration behind starting my own. Zevi brings a heart-centered but rigorous and academic approach to his videos and he has been an invaluable guide in my exploration of Jewish philosophy and mysticism. He's sharp and intimidatingly well-read, and he uses his platform to educate people in the hopes of fostering peace and unity between people of different spiritual traditions and faiths. He also has had the privilege of interviewing some of the world's leading scholars and philosophers. I highly recommend subscribing to his channel if you haven't already. In this episode, we talk about his background and his channel, and then we dive into the BIG question. What is mysticism?! We also discuss the pros and cons of perennialism, its relationship to mysticism, and why mysticism is seeing a resurgence today. This was an epic conversation. I hope you all enjoy it! Ayurveda: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Maladies w/ Ajita Patel

Welcome to episode 3 of the Justin Birkholz Podcast!! Ajita is an Ayurvedic Doctor, Panchakarma Specialist, Reiki Master, CMT & Certified Yoga Teacher. She is a state certified Clinical Ayurveda and Panchakarma Specialist. Ajita is also a trained pranayam teacher with the Pajanjali Yog Peeth under the guidance of Swami Ramdev.  She regularly teaches pranayama, meditation and conducts Ayurveda workshops in the community to address various health related issues.  Ajita is a member of NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association). I met her at the Mindfulness Expo in southern California where she gave a talk on the effects of diet on our mood and we had a great conversation there so I asked her to come on the podcast to continue. In this episode we discuss ayurveda, pancha karma, kirtan and she even teaches me a very interesting pranayam (breathwork) technique.
