Welcome back! Today we dive into a topic that is near and dear to my heart but is a topic that can be so divisive, modesty. It's more than how someone dresses, its a heart condition. Ultimately, we must be rooted and ground in who we are in Christ. He is where we find everything we need every single day. He is faithful steadfast and good. Out of that posture should define who we present ourselves to the world to be. Because He is the only one who can fill the hole in our hearts. I've walked through all of this and I can promise you that He is the only one who can fill that void we try to fill. I pray for find the He is enough and you don't have to look to the outside world to fill that void because the world was never meant to fill it. Please like, share and subscribe if you enjoy this! It really does help others find it! Check out the link to my short story blog below! sharessewarfel.com

Episode 10: The Consequence of Offense

Welcome back! Between services at church and the homeschool co-op wrapping up for the year, it has been a hectic few weeks, filled with things I love but hectic and tiring, nonetheless. In this episode I wanted to share something I wrote for our Good Friday service and how when Jesus asked The Father to 'let this cup pass from me' in the garden the night before His crucifixion really touched a wound in my own life of feeling like I was a burden to others. I've have missed this and getting to share and encourage you all! I plan to get back on releasing on my regular schedule, but this is a special mid-week release for you all since I've been away. As always, if you like what I have to share, please share my podcast with your friends. It really does help it to get pushed to other people we don't know! Keep it salty friends!

Episode 8: What Are You Desperate For?

We all have a deep longing in us to feel valued, appreciated and loved. The question is, do we look to the world to fill this very human need? Or do we look to God to fulfill this need that He placed in us. Today we explore the story of Lily Phillips and how the world and all it promises, will never be enough to fill the need to be loved, valued and appreciated and will actually lead us to brokenness and emptiness. The One who put this need in us is more than able to fulfill it in a way that surpasses anything we could ever hope or imagine. Jesus promised to be the water for our soul that never runs dry. I pray you find that truth through today's episode. As always, if you enjoy this podcast, please like, share and subscribe so others will find it! Share, comment and lets talk about the God who is always faithful to call us loved and precious in His eyes!
