This week, we are start our new series in the Psalms - Songs Of The Redeemed. Our first song is Psalm 32. "If all our sins - past, present, and future have already been forgiven in Christ , then why should we continue to confess our sins?” Psalm 32 shows us that a believer's confessions of sin isn’t a work we must do to earn forgiveness, but it's what marks us as forgiven... a means by which we enjoy and experience his ongoing forgiveness, intimacy, and guidance in our lives! As we come to the closing of Colossians, we get valuable insight into the relational life of probably the most significant figure in the church following Christ's resurrection. This final personal greeting helps us see that the effective gospel-life, the fruitful Christian life, is inevitably relational. It's messy. It bruises. It is inconvenient. This week in Colossians, Paul challenges us to honor Christ while navigating relationships with unbelievers. He says to let our conversations to always be gracious and "seasoned with salt". This is especially hard when the "outsiders" are our own family.
