Tóchar Project Manager Shirley Clerkin joins discusses how the Voices & Vision for Ireland's Wetlands Conference, held in the Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise last week went, offering an explanation of the importance of our wetlands. Westmeath-based Artist Mariia Golubeva on her latest project, a community arts and ecology project designed to foster connections between local communities and the natural ecosystems surrounding them through art and creative participation, titled 'Green&Blue'

Coosan-born and raised Artist Dee McKiernan and Biodiversity Officer in Roscommon County Council Gerard Hannon discuss her latest exhibition 'Our Crucial Callows' aimed at raising awareness for the unique, seasonally flooded wetland ecosystem and Special Area of Conservation along the River Shannon known as The Callows. Aoife McPartlin from Wildlife Rehabilitation Ireland reveals the systems in place and education provided to drivers in other countries for reporting injured or dead wildlife on the roads and explains why Ireland could benefit from having such protocols in place.
