Life on Track with Georgie Rogers
Jess Mills is a musician (Do No Harm, Slo), an activist, a key cog in the Choose Love Help Refugees charity and writer releasing her first memoir in 2026 'We Are Each Other', the story of becoming a mother and losing her own, the MP Baroness Tessa Jowell, to terminal brain cancer in the same year. In this episode Jess talks about writing the book in the aftermath of her mum's passing, her life as a musician getting a break touring with Leftfield and landing a major record deal before going more independent with her Slo and Do No Harm projects. She discusses the incredible work being done by the Tessa Jowell Foundation which Jess set up to continue her mother's legacy in brain cancer treatments and care, grieving and how out of devastating losses comes a lot of beautiful life. Love wins every time. I hope you enjoy this conversation. The book is available now and you can listen to Jess's music under Do No Harm, Slo and Jess Mills on all streaming platforms.
