Observing my parents as they walked towards me one afternoon, I recognized that my parents are no longer as spry and vibrant as they once were. The reality is that my mother and father are well on their years. I have realized that time with my parents must be intentional.  Time is priceless. It is what we cannot get back. How we truly spend our time is an important form of Selfcare. Being intentional with the time we spend with our loved ones as well as ourselves. I’m almost in my mid 50’s. I have more years behind me than I have ahead of me. What does it mean to be intentional with our time? Let’s discuss.  Email me: liftedtolife@gmail.com [liftedtolife@gmail.com] The Pearl Spa  https://www.thepearlspa.com [https://www.thepearlspa.com/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=wix_google_business_profile&utm_campaign=14267222021557776537]

Words This Generation Needs To Hear; Noticed and Nurtured!

Growing up, I never heard words of encouragement or support from my mother. It wasn't entirely her fault; it was a cycle. My grandmother never nurtured my mom, so my mom didn't know how to do the same for my siblings and me. When I had daughters of my own, I chose to break that cycle. I wanted my girls to feel deeply noticed, loved, and supported. Today, the young women of Gen Z and Gen Alpha are facing an uphill battle, often missing true emotional support in a world dominated by social media filters and reality TV "role models." Join me as we explore how to speak life into the next generation, heal generational wounds, and master the power of affirmation.  Let's Chat! I'd love to hear from you, so email me liftedtolife@gmail.com

Grief Is Real!

These past 5 years have been plagued with so much death. People of different ages are taking their final rest. It really took a toll on me. Especially when my GGF and Uncle passed away back-to-back. It was a punch to the gut. I had never experienced grief of this magnitude before. I looked the way I felt. It was a hard time with no time stamp. It was rough. I thank God that I recognized the emotions and the feelings that came with it. I still have my days when I think about those who have passed while the tears flow. I’m glad I have not suppressed and invite those tears. It’s cleansing.  If you need grief counseling contact a therapist, contact someone you can trust or contact your local Grief Counseling Center.  Email Me: liftedtolife@gmail.com [liftedtolife@gmail.com]
