Lipstick and Liberation
Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2469864/fan_mail/new] Good day equality lovers. Today we are breaking down how fatherhood's role in the success of childhood outcomes is over simplified to imply that a household without fathers is bad because of the missing of the male aspect rather than the missing of the money, stability and resources that come with two parents contributing to the well being of the child. The intention of this propaganda is to guilt women to bear the brunt of the mistreatment of men for the sake of the better outcome of the children while men themselves do not demonstrate their own belief in their value in the household by being more hands off in child rearing and also not putting the same effort to maintain the relationship into it so that the kids can have the best outcomes. We also discuss how studies show that two parent households period regardless of the gender of the parents have similar outcomes so this dismisses the narrative that men want to draw from this that their presence specifically is required for success. I also discuss my impressions of Tina Knowles memoir Matriarch and the politics of who we choose to have children with while reflecting on how my own relationship with my dad impacted me becoming a feminist in the long run.
