The Law Of Roy

Here’s another episode of my Podcast “Listen to my story’ which aims to bring you the often forgotten voices of the older generation. The memories and first hand experiences in world that was, and is, changing all around them. Introduction written and read by Terry  Keeble.  Also, interview conducted by Terry Keeble. This week, we talk to Roy Higginson. Born in North London, in 1947, Roy initially lived with his Grandparents, before reuniting with his parents in Harrow, also in North London. After gaining his A levels and leaving school, Roy went into the family printing business But, as he will describe himself, his heart was not in it., and by his early twenties he gave up what seemed a comfortable living to pursue the career of his passion, that of a solicitor. This carried him to a relatively early retirement of 58 years old. I am sure there are interesting stories of his experiences for hi to tell, including  dealing with a potential divorce which involved the unfortunate end of a family rabbit!! He now resides in Ickneild Court, a  90 room Residential care home situated on a quiet side road in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire. A fairly Modern building, it was constructed on the site of a old infant school. My first guest is ready to share his  experiences.
