Literature on the Rocks
In this book club episode of Literature on the Rocks, Sunny, Rachel, and Rox return to the world of That's What Friends are For by Wade Rouse for one of our most personal and emotional conversations yet. Inspired by the book's themes of friendship, identity, and belonging, we reflect on the advice we'd give our 18-year-old selves and the lessons we've learned along the way. We also discuss the role religion plays in the story, how it impacts the characters, and the complicated ways faith can shape our relationships and sense of self. Of course, we couldn't talk about friendship without tackling honesty. Is complete honesty necessary in a friendship? And what takes more courage: speaking your truth or being willing to hear someone else's? Full spoilers, vulnerable conversations, and a lot of heart. Grab a drink and join us. 🥂❤️
