Descripción

Live From The Edison Times Square Chronicles Presents: owner Suzanna Bowling chats with author and Lit Path co-founder Tamara Dowling about healing after betrayal, breaking the silence surrounding compulsive sexual behavior disorder, and transforming pain into purpose. Dowling's deeply personal memoir, Worn, Weathered, Worthy: The Journey to What Lies Beneath, explores the devastation of discovering sex addiction within a marriage and the difficult, often nonlinear path toward healing, restoration, and hope. Drawing from lived experience with striking candor, Dowling discusses trauma, resilience, relationships, and the emotional realities too many people suffer through quietly and alone. The conversation also shines a light on Lit Path, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Dowling co-founded to make trauma-informed mental health treatment more financially accessible for individuals, couples, and families impacted by compulsive behaviors and betrayal trauma. Through Lit Path, Dowling launched Sex Addiction Awareness Week and the annual CSBD Hope for Healing Conference, a first-of-its-kind national gathering designed to reduce stigma, connect survivors with resources, and create meaningful dialogue between clinicians, advocates, peer support leaders, and those seeking recovery. Held each June, the conference combines therapeutic workshops, educational programming, and community-building initiatives while raising scholarship funds for individuals unable to afford specialized treatment and care.
