Descripción

Bringing you this impromptu episode on the back of a wave of trolling and negative comments I received recently on a reel sharing laughter yoga at a festival. Instead of shrinking back, I am choosing to shout louder using my voice to champion powerful female voices and amplify my mission of Global Joy. I dive into what it really means to choose joy on purpose, especially when faced with criticism. I explore why being visible and using your voice is a radical act of self leadership and why self-validation matters so much more than seeking approval from others. I share how healing, self-trust and compassion can help us stay grounded when the world tries to shake us. Most of all, I celebrate the power of laughter, community and courage, especially when things get tough, because these are the moments that remind us joy is both our anchor and our superpower. If you’ve ever held yourself back from sharing your voice, or felt the sting of criticism when you do, this episode is your invitation to reflect on what’s stopping you and to reclaim the joy and power that comes from being fully seen. Want to go deeper? Join my free monthly Joy Reset calls; a nourishing, supportive space for leaders and changemakers to reset, reconnect and rise. And if you're ready to get braver in your own leadership or visibility, reach out via DM I’d love to hear from you and cheer you on. Joy isn’t just a feeling…it’s a practice, a choice and a ripple effect. Let’s keep lifting each other up no matter what the world throws our way. episode 🌻The Flawed Hero Mindset: Running Towards What’s Possible with Phil Roberton S4 E13 artwork

🌻The Flawed Hero Mindset: Running Towards What’s Possible with Phil Roberton S4 E13

In this inspiring episode, I’m joined by the fabulous Phil Roberton - founder of The Flawed Hero Marathon & Movement - for a deep dive into what it really takes to achieve things you once thought impossible. Phil shares why, for him, marathon coaching is far more about mindset and self-belief than just physical training, and how helping first-time runners overcome fear is at the heart of his work. We talk about how the marathon world has evolved, the pressures of social media and training apps, and why letting go of external validation can make space for much deeper growth. Phil reflects on some of the emotional highs and lows he’s witnessed at marathons, from the elation of crossing the finish line to the post-race blues, and how these moments of challenge and connection ripple out into bigger life lessons. Phil also opens up about the creation of The Flawed Hero Marathon, an incredible event designed for anyone who’s ever doubted they belonged at a start line. He explains how this inclusive event is about more than just running: it’s about building community, celebrating internal growth and raising funds for good causes, all while supporting each other every step of the way. If you’ve ever wondered what you’re truly capable of, or needed a reminder that we’re all flawed but far more resilient than we realise, this conversation is for you. Expect plenty of practical wisdom on tuning into your own needs, the power of human connection and how big goals can unlock courage, joy, and unexpected new chapters…on and off the marathon course. Phil Roberton is the founder of The Flawed Hero® Marathon & Movement, one of the most inclusive and inspiring endurance events in the UK. A wellness professional, speaker, and father, Phil has spent over 15 years helping thousands of people overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve things they once thought impossible. Combining sports science, behaviour change, health optimisation, and powerful storytelling, his work sits at the intersection of performance, wellbeing, and human potential. His core message is simple: we’re all flawed, but we’re far more capable than we realise. 🌻The Happiness Equation: Finding Joy (and Realness) in Community, Grief & Growth with Myra Merchant S4 E 12

In this warm and uplifting episode, I’m joined by the brilliant Myra Merchant, founder of The Happiness Equation CIC and the powerhouse behind DOSE Fest, a brand new wellness festival arriving in Essex this summer. We dive into why making joy accessible matters now more than ever and explore why building happier, healthier communities through real connection, creativity and preventative wellbeing is at the heart of Myra’s work. Myra shares her experience of moving through grief and how it has influenced her mission, highlighting the impact of self-awareness, regular personal health audits, and honest conversations on growth and healing. She also reveals the simple things that bring her joy and keep her grounded, and discusses her passion for creating spaces where belonging, acceptance, and genuine fun can flourish. If you’re craving a reminder that joy and struggle can coexist and that you’re never alone on the journey, this conversation is for you. Plus, get the inside scoop on DOSE Fest and why it’s set to be a game-changer for wellbeing in Essex and beyond. Myra Merchant is the Founder of The Happiness Equation CIC, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to building happier, healthier communities through connection, creativity and preventative wellbeing. A mathematician by background and a community builder by nature, Myra’s work is shaped by her own experiences of burnout, neurodivergence, single parenthood and rediscovering joy after life’s challenges. Through DOSE Fest, she is bringing people together in a way that inspires, educates and entertains — helping people access the ingredients for happier, healthier lives before they reach crisis point. At the heart of Myra’s work is the belief that joy is not about constant happiness, but about creating space for connection, purpose, laughter, peace and belonging. She believes joy and struggle can coexist, and that community, when built with care, can become a powerful form of medicine. episode 🌻 Small Joys, Big Impact: The Power of Self-Care and Play for Parents with Sally Reason S4 E9 artwork

🌻 Small Joys, Big Impact: The Power of Self-Care and Play for Parents with Sally Reason S4 E9

In this nourishing episode I’m joined by the oh so wonderful Sally Reason, founder of Positive Reasons, for a real and open chat about how parents can reclaim joy in the middle of busy, full-to-the-brim lives. We dive into the power of tiny, intentional moments - like silent discos, nature walks and listening to a favourite song - to bring us back to ourselves, even when the schedule feels relentless. Sally and I get honest about the guilt that can creep in when we prioritise our own needs and why self-care isn’t selfish, but self-FULL and absolutely essential.  You’ll hear practical ways to plan for joy in your day and how making joy non-negotiable can ripple out to benefit the whole family. If you’re longing for permission to choose yourself and put a little more fun into your routine, this one’s for you…no guilt required. Sally’s passion is supporting families to feel empowered, informed and confident during their pregnancy, birth and early parenting. Through various groups and services she creates a down-to-earth, supportive space to normalise the everyday of family life and build community. As an Ante and Postnatal Teacher, Doula, Infant Feeding Support, Baby Massage Instructor, Maternal Wellbeing Coach and a Mum, Sally brings a whole-rounded approach to all her work and is a huge advocate for promoting 'Your wellbeing IS their wellbeing'.
