In this episode of the "TVIH Podcast/Living Well", a TVIH member, Mark Grokin, will share his experiences as a leader of a support group that helps seniors to navigation transitions. All of us have faced loss in transition, such as the loss of a a family member, friend or pet, downsizing from a house to an apartment, losing the ability to drive at night, or forgetting the name of your favorite store. How do we face the challenges and learn to let go and move on?  In this podcast, Mark will discuss the challenges and teach us the coping methods that we could all use. About our guest: Mark Gorkin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker,  psychotherapist, speaker, author, and grief-trauma consultant. A former Stress Resilience and Team Building Retreat Leader for the US Army and Stress, and Violence Prevention Consultant for the U.S. Postal Service.   Mark has published many books: Practice Safe Stress: Healing and Laughing in the Face of Stress, Burnout & Depression, The Four Faces of Anger: Transforming Hostility and Rage into Assertion and Passion, and Preserving Human Touch in a High-Tech World: Writings, Raps & Rhymes.
