On Episode 16 we take a short trip to the Northside of Lafayette.  We pulled up off of Moss Street and talk to entrepreneurs, husband and wife, Chris and Andrea Amos…the owners of Parc De Oaks…Food truck park.Parc De Oaks is where multiple food trucks come and set up shop weekly to get your taste buds moving. Chris and Andrea bought the land but didn’t know what to do with it…but they knew they were on a goldmine. With Chris being a landscaper…he had an idea but Andrea wasn’t feeling it😂. After doing some traveling…a💡went off for them.But Parc De Oaks almost didn’t happen!  A lot of people don’t know the red tape and obstacles they were faced with. On Episode 14…we sit down with entrepreneur, author, choreographer, mother of 3 and wife…Chantell Zenon. As a young woman she struggled with acceptance. Growing up…it’s tough being one of if not the only kid in your class, or school, or neighborhood that looks like you do. And you just want to “fit in” and be accepted. With the help of her family, her husband, and her faith in God…she was able to find her true self and she hasn’t looked back. Not only did she have a colorful high school career at Northside High School…it continued on to college. She followed in her parents footsteps and attended UL Lafayette where get got her degree in Child and Family Studies. From there she tapped back into her poetry and writing skills and here is where the idea for her books came about; which included inspiration from her children. She doesn’t stop there. She also has a non-profit organization called IgniteU Foundation where she helps inspire young women.
