Episode 11: What Are You Bowing To?

What are you bowing to? Not every idol is made of gold. Sometimes an idol looks like control. Sometimes it looks like approval. Sometimes it looks like money, comfort, success, relationships, attention, or even a dream we refuse to surrender. In this episode of Lunch with Jesus, we’re talking about the idols of the heart and how easily good things can become ultimate things when they take the place of God. Using the story of the golden calf in Exodus 32, we’ll look at how idols are often built in seasons of waiting, how they promise peace but leave us empty, and why Jesus is better than anything this world could ever offer. This one is honest. This one is challenging. This one may make us ask the question: What has my heart been running to instead of Jesus?
