Called to this season: A Motherhood Journey Ft. Grace K.

In this episode, I have a special guest joining me, my dear friend Grace K. who also happens to be walking through early states of motherhood like myself. We are both first time moms, and our babies are only a week apart! We discuss the emotional and life-changing transition into becoming a mom to understanding the deeper purpose of motherhood. Grace, shares some personal aspects of motherhood, challenges and ways she navigated it all when life changes unexpectedly. Do you have phony faith?

Today's episode is based on Matthew 7:24-27. I share my personal journey of rebuilding my faith on a true and unshakable foundation, that is in the Rock, the Lord Jesus Christ. After going through my own crisis of faith during brokenness and confusion, and isolation. During some time I learned the true meaning of being a follower and believer of God. One who built the faith on a solid foundation verses a weak one. Other scriptures referenced in today's episode: John 14:24 Whoever does not love Me does not keep My words. The word that you hear is not My own, but it is from the Father who sent Me. Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

The Cost of Following Jesus

Do you ever feel like sometimes you can do more for the Lord, and that you can really serve Him, but something is just standing in your way? Well, I’m here to read the scripture to you that stood out to me and essentially what I learned is that we need to stop making excuses to follow Jesus, and to be His true disciples. (Luke 9:57-62) The only person standing in the way is really ourselves. Rather, you cannot commit to Jesus halfway. Committing to the Lord, definitely take sacrifice. I believe we got to stop making excuses and saying “not now, Lord”.

Reflecting on my “Word of the Year” 2025

In this New Year’s episode, I reflect on how God often teaches me through one defining word each year—2025 was a year all about forgiveness. I share my personal journey of learning why forgiveness isn’t always easy, why it doesn’t depend on whether others apologize or deserve it, and how it ultimately sets me free. Drawing from Scripture and my own experiences, I encourage listeners to let go of resentment, bitterness, and past hurts as we step into 2026 with clean hearts. This episode is a reminder that forgiveness is a powerful act of obedience, healing, and spiritual freedom.
