Trump's Big Beautiful Boon for Code Cartels

June 30, 2025 -- Trump and Congressional Republicans' federal budget, the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act," seeks to gut all state laws regulating AI for the next ten years. This gives code cartels -- the colluders using algorithms to fix prices for rent, healthcare, and groceries -- a free pass and harms consumers. In this episode, I discuss the implications of the measure.
