Marvellous Women: The Podcast
In this episode of Marvellous Women: The Podcast, Celia Craig shares her insights about embracing authenticity, reclaiming creative freedom, and living with synesthesia—a rare neurological condition that allows her to experience music as vivid colours and patterns. From her remarkable career as an internationally acclaimed musician to becoming a neurodiversity advocate, Celia opens up about resilience, self-discovery, the power of owning your art, and why celebrating your unique strengths can transform both your work and your life. An internationally acclaimed musician, speaker, coach, and neurodiversity advocate, Celia Craig is recognised as one of the world’s leading performers with synaesthesia. Celia’s performance career spans five continents, including recording at Abbey Road Studios, playing for the Royal family and Doctor Who, and touring schools with her Colours of Home duo. Grounded in this multi-sensory perspective, her recent focus heavily includes unscripted classical performance, leading the innovative improvisation ensemble Collectif: Arc en Ciel. Following diagnoses of ADHD and anxiety disorder alongside her innate synaesthesia, Celia is a Twice Exceptional (2E) musician. This lived experience drives her burgeoning career in keynote speaking and professional coaching, combining deep personal insights with evidence-based strategy. An EMCC-qualified coach, her unique capacity for connection was shaped early through personal coaching by Leonard Bernstein. As a former Chairman of London’s BBC Symphony Orchestra, Celia helped deliver the Last Night of the Proms to a global audience of 40 million. In 2026, she continues her senior international roles as a Biennial Artist through CreateSA in Adelaide (UNESCO City of Music), Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, and Visiting International Lecturer at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff. #MarvellousWomen #MarvellousWomenCards #MarvellousWomenThePodcast #podcast
