MEDCast
Welcome back to MEDCast — where we explore stories of service, sacrifice, and the strength that comes from faith and community. Today’s guest is someone who embodies all three. We’re joined by Jordan Philpott — a fourth-generation firefighter, former lieutenant and paramedic with the Charleston, Illinois Fire Department, and now the pastor at Woodville Baptist Church in Mitchell, Indiana. During his time in the fire service, Jordan earned numerous certifications in fire and EMS education, dedicating his career to helping others in their most critical moments. But after years of living out his dream job, Jordan felt a deeper calling — one that led him away from the firehouse and into the church. Now pursuing his Master of Divinity at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Jordan continues to serve others — this time through faith and leadership. In this episode, we talk about: Growing up in a family of firefighters Lessons in leadership and service The call to ministry and the role of faith in finding purpose Whether you’re a first responder, ministry leader, or anyone navigating change and calling — this episode will inspire and challenge you.
