Descripción

In Episode 19, we recap our March challenge: daily journaling. We talk about what it was like to build the habit, where it was challenging, and how it impacted our discipline, mindset, and walk with God. Journaling sounds simple, but doing it consistently revealed a lot about where we’re at and what we need to work on. We also share how journaling helped us slow down, reflect, and be more intentional in our thoughts and actions. Looking ahead, we introduce our April focus: memorizing and meditating on Scripture. 📖 Ephesians 2:8–9 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” We’re excited to spend the month rooted in this truth and see how it shapes our perspective. 📩 Want to connect or share your experience with journaling? Ep. 21 - America 250 Special | What We Can Learn from Booker T. Washington, Theodore Roosevelt & John Hancock

To celebrate America's 250th anniversary, we took a break from our normal challenges and each chose one influential figure from American history to study. * Levi: Booker T. Washington * Grant: John Hancock * Ty: Theodore Roosevelt For each person, we discussed three questions: 1. What are they best known for, and what did they accomplish? 2. What challenges and opposition did they face? 3. How were we personally impacted by learning about their life? This wasn't just a history lesson. It was an opportunity to reflect on courage, perseverance, leadership, faith, and the character traits that continue to inspire us today. Whether you're interested in American history, leadership, or simply becoming a better man, we hope this conversation encourages you to learn from those who came before us. We also introduce our July challenge: 20 Prayer Walks. 📩 Have someone from American history you'd recommend we study? We'd love to hear from you. Email us at MenAboveReproach@gmail.com

In Episode 18 of the Men Above Reproach podcast, we recap our February challenges. First, we talk about our Verse of the Month and what it looked like to meditate on it throughout the month. 📖 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” We discuss how this passage shaped our mindset and helped us focus on joy, prayer, and gratitude in everyday life. Ep. 17 - Dopamine DETOX

In Episode 17, we break down our January challenge: a Dopamine Detox. This challenge was all about identifying habits that quietly control our attention and replacing them with disciplines that lead to clarity, self-control, and spiritual growth. We focused on: * Purity (no pornography, no masturbation, no lingering on anything that feeds lust) * Minimal social media (no scrolling; social media only for posting or professional use) * No sweets or desserts * No screens first thing in the morning (at least 5 minutes of exercise, prayer, mobility, reading, or Scripture before touching our phones) We talk honestly about what was harder than expected, what surprised us, and how this challenge impacted our focus, discipline, and relationship with God. If you’ve ever felt distracted, overstimulated, or stuck in habits you want to break, this episode will resonate. 📩 Want to connect or share your experience? Email us at MenAboveReproach@gmail.com
