Hi and welcome to the first ever episode of Men’s Minds Matter, a podcast aimed at helping guys and there families who might be going through a tough time. I am Si and I’m joined in this Episode are two incredibly special people, who despite going through their own struggles have managed to raise more than £1500 for two amazing charities Andy’s Man Club and Pontefract & District breast cancer support group. They have shown such courage and determination to make sure that regardless of what both were struggling with, they were always there for others and more importantly are a great example to us all.

Introduction to Men's Minds Matter

Hello and welcome to Men’s Minds Matter, A brand new podcast aimed at helping guys and their families who are going through or have just been through a tough time in hope to help reduce suicide. I’m your host Si, and I am a facilitator at one of the many Andy’s Man Clubs up and down the country, I have personally struggled with mental health on and off for over 20 years and this has helped to give me a unique perspective when talking about a wide range of subjects from grief to domestic abuse and a lot in between. Like with Andy’s Man Club this is a non-judgmental podcast. All correspondence will be treated with respect, and all names will be kept out of the podcast to protect those involved unless they agree to wave their anonymity. Each episode I will be introducing a guest host and we will talk about their own struggles, what they did that helped and what they found tough. We will also try answering some of your questions as best we can. We will end the show with a couple of fun random questions using our very sophisticated and high-tech method of drawing question out of a hat.
