No matter what’s happening around us, our foundation doesn’t change. Then when we don’t follow through, we beat ourselves up like we lacked discipline… when really, we lacked alignment. Not everyone is called to the same rhythms. Some people thrive journaling every single day. Some don’t. Some people wake up at 5am ready to go. Some connect with God in the quiet moments later in the day. And that doesn’t make one better than the other. God didn’t create a copy-and-paste version of you. He created you on purpose, with intention. So why are we trying to force ourselves into someone else’s routine? In this episode, we’re talking about giving yourself permission to grow in a way that actually works for you—without guilt, without comparison, and without setting unrealistic expectations that lead to burnout. I talk about how easy it is to feel like Peter, stepping out in faith but quickly getting distracted by the wind and waves… and how the only way to stay above it all is to keep our eyes locked on Jesus.
